While the etiology behind this increase remains unclear, the United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) has decreased the recommended age to begin screening for CRC to 45 years. This case report reviews the literature on CRC in the young population while presenting a case of a 21-year-old male with early-onset metastatic colorectal cancer without a hereditary etiology.
