Background: Complete Cytoreduction (CC) in ovarian cancer (OC) has been associated with better outcomes. Outcomes after CC have a multifactorial and interrelated cause that may not be predictable by conventional statistical methods. The interrelation between the TNFα gene polymorphism and the effectiveness of the intensive phase of chemotherapy in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, as well as the formation of diameter of the sizes of destruction cavities was studied. It was revealed that the most adverse course of the disease and a high frequency of formation of destruction cavities are associated with the GG genotype of the TNFα gene.

Background: The National TB elimination programme (NTEP) is facilitating sub-national certification of "TB Free" status with benchmarks at every 20% reduction in incidence from the baseline of 2015. Drug consumption/sale is essential criteria to claim for the award. During the certification process in 10 districts of Madhya Pradesh in 2022, it was found that Nikshay Aushadhi (a web-based supply chain management portal) entries were incomplete or vacant in most of the districts and it was observed that quarterly drug requests were not sent using Nikshay Aushadhi.

Background: Decentralized management approaches for multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR TB) have shown improved treatment outcomes in patients. However, challenges remain in the delivery of decentralized MDR TB services. Further, implementation strategies for effectively delivering the services in community health systems (CHSs) in low-resource settings have not been fully described, as most strategies are known and effective in high-income settings.
