Although elbow dislocation occurs frequently, associated brachial artery injury is rare. Adequate treatment of this injury includes prompt arteriography, reduction of the dislocation, vascular repair, and transarticular fixation of the reduction. Foot ulceration is a significant and growing health problem worldwide, particularly due to rises in diabetes mellitus (DM) and peripheral artery disease. The prediction of ulcer healing remains a major challenge. In patients with foot ulcers, medial arterial calcification (MAC) can be present as a result of concomitant DM or chronic kidney disease and is a prognostic factor for unfavorable outcome.

Background: HIV induced endothelial dysfunction (ED) contributes to cardiovascular disease (CVD) in women with HIV (WWH). Although psychosocial stress has been implicated in the development of CVD in HIV, its impact on ED in WWH remains unknown.
Objectives: The authors hypothesized that posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and HIV interact to contribute to ED in WWH.

Peripheral artery disease (PAD) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are inflammatory diseases. These two entities often co-exist, but little is known about the prevalence of this phenomenon in patients with PAD. The objectives of this prospective cross-sectional study were to determine the prevalence of COPD in patients with PAD and to assess the frequency of COPD underdiagnosis in this group of patients.

Background: It remains controversial whether exercise training (EX) improves vascular endothelial function (VEF) independent of lipoprotein changes even though these are therapeutic goals for coronary artery disease (CAD).
Objective: The purpose of this study was to systematically review the effects of EX on VEF and blood lipid variables in patients with CAD.
Methods: This study adhered to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement.

Although open repair remains the mainstream treatment for aortic arch dissection, its surgical complexity and perioperative complications are significant. We developed a novel stentgraft system for less-invasive endovascular aortic arch repair. We successfully performed a total percutaneous transfemoral endovascular repair of aortic arch dissection using a novel off-the-shelf endograft system.
