Background: Preoperative accurate visceral pleural infiltration (VPI) diagnosis for T1-size non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is significant for clinical decision-making. The study aimed to explore the diagnostic efficacy of computed tomography (CT) imaging features and serum biomarkers in diagnosing VPI in newly discovered subpleural NSCLC ≤3 cm.
Methods: There were 447 patients with NSCLC ≤3 cm retrospectively enrolled and assigned to the VPI group (n=81) and the non-VPI group (n=366) based on elastic fiber staining results.

Objectives: The storage of serum tumor markers (STM) at -18 °C for one year has been a legal requirement in France since 1999, but has been abolished in 2022. This raises the question of the relevance of maintaining these biobanks in terms of conditions of storage. These should only be implemented after validation; in order to maintain the integrity of the biological sample and must be controlled over time according to the laboratory's procedures.

Background: Lung cancer is a highly prevalent malignancy and has the highest mortality rate among all tumors due to lymph node metastasis. Bone marrow and umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have demonstrated tumor-suppressive effects on lung cancer. This study investigated the effects of DPSC lysate on proliferation, apoptosis, migration and invasion of cancer cells were studied in vivo and in vitro.
