Loading with non-metal cocatalysts to regulate interfacial charge transfer and separation has become a prominent focus in current research. In this study, g-CN/CNT composites loaded with non-metallic cocatalysts were prepared through pyrolysis using urea and CNTs. Various characterization techniques, including transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-vis DRS), photoelectrochemical (PEC) analysis, fluorescence lifetime spectroscopy (TRPL), electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy (ESR), and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, were employed to analyze the sample's microstructure, phase composition, elemental chemical states, and photoelectronic properties.

Microplastics (MPs) easily migrate into deeper soil layers, posing potential risks to subterranean habitats and groundwater. However, the mechanisms governing the vertical migration of MPs in soil, particularly aged MPs, remain unclear. In this study, we investigate the transport of MPs under varying MPs properties, soil texture and hydrology conditions.

In this study an (AlGa)O barrier layer is inserted between β-GaO and GaN in a p-GaN/n-GaO diode photodetector, causing the dark current to decrease considerably, and device performance to improve significantly. The β-GaO/β-(AlGa)O/GaN n-type/Barrier/p-type photodetector achieves a photocurrent gain of 1246, responsivity of 237 A W, and specific detectivity of 5.23 × 10 cm Hz W under a bias of -20 V.

Antarctica's harsh environmental conditions, characterized by high levels of ultraviolet (UV) radiation, pose challenges for microorganisms. To survive in these extreme cold regions with heightened UV exposure, microorganisms employ various adaptive strategies, including photoprotective carotenoid synthesis. Carotenoids are garnering attention in the skin health industry because of their UV photoprotection potential, given the direct relationship between UV exposure and skin burns, and cancer.

Although the use of ultraviolet (UV) light-emitting diode backlight with red, green, and blue color-conversion layers (CCLs) in displays simplifies the manufacturing process and improves display uniformity, research on blue CCLs remains limited and has been mostly reported in the sky-blue region (> 470 nm), which is insufficient to satisfy the Rec. 2020 color standard. As halide perovskites offer a high extinction coefficient, color purity, and photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY), they become highly competitive color-converting materials for CCLs.
