This clinical report describes how a decubital ulcer arose from the direct contact of the vestibular movable mucous membrane against mini-implant balled-type heads after the mini-implant insertion in the edentulous atrophic mandible of a 78-year-old patient who was not wearing a conventional mandibular complete denture for more than 10 years. Due to severe alveolar ridge atrophy, mini-implant insertion (2.0 mm wide) was an option without extensive surgical procedures.

Background: Vestibular migraine (VM), the most frequent episodic vertigo, is difficult to distinguish from Ménière's disease (MD) because reliable biomarkers are missing. The classical proof of MD was an endolymphatic hydrops (EH). However, a few intravenous gadolinium-enhanced MRI studies of the inner ear (MRI) also revealed an EH in VM.

Aim: To investigate the association, as well as to characterize the associated panel of pro- and anti-inflammatory markers, between the different components of the peri-implant phenotype and the presence of peri-implantitis/peri-implant soft-tissue dehiscence (PISTD).
Materials And Methods: A total of 324 implants in 112 patients were included. The following components of the peri-implant phenotype were clinically measured through the use of a manual periodontal probe or a digital calliper: keratinized mucosa width (PIKM-W), mucosal thickness (MT), attached mucosa (AM) and vestibulum depth (VD).

Introduction: The triangular recess (TR), also called triangular fossa or represents the anterior extension of the diencephalic ventricle, located between the anterior columns of the fornix and the anterior white commissure. Over time, this structure of the third cerebral ventricle generated many disputes. While some anatomists support its presence, others have opposite opinions, considering that it only becomes visible under certain conditions.
