This paper deals with the design of novel epoxy adhesives by incorporating thermoplastic polymers such as polyetherimide (PEI) and poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) into a bio-based and recyclable epoxy resin, known as Polar Bear. The adhesives were characterized by their mechanical (quasi-static and dynamic) and rheological properties, thermal stability, and adhesion properties in single-lap joints tested at three different temperatures (i.e.

In this study, we use petroleum systems modeling (PSM) to quantitatively simulate the uncertainty of biogenic gas generation modes and their impact on the spatial distribution and resource assessment of gas hydrates in the Baiyun Sag, South China Sea. The results are as follows: (1) Biogenic gas generation is significantly affected by thermal state and organic matter type. Low temperature is a primary reason for gas hydrate occurrence in shallower sediments when sufficient methane gas is present.

The safety and health of food have been persistent concerns, particularly about meat products. Low-temperature meat products refer to those that are processed at lower temperatures. Meat, rich in proteins and other nutrients, is highly susceptible to microbial contamination, leading to spoilage, particularly when processed at lower temperatures that increase storage and transportation requirements.

Short-Time High-Oxygen Pre-Treatment Delays Lignification of Loquat ( Lindl.) During Low-Temperature Storage.

Foods

State Key Laboratory of Food Nutrition and Safety, Key Laboratory of Food Nutrition and Safety, Ministry of Education of China, College of Food Science and Engineering, Tianjin University of Science & Technology, Tianjin 300457, China.

Lignification often occurs during low-temperature storage in loquat fruit, leading to increased firmness and lignin content, water loss, and changes in flavor. As induced stress factors, short-time high-oxygen pre-treatment (SHOP) can initiate resistant metabolism and regulate the physicochemical qualities during fresh fruit storage. However, the effect of SHOP on the lignification and quality of loquat has been reported less.

Simultaneous regulation of grain size and interface of single-crystal ultrahigh-nickel LiNiCoMnO via one-step LiZrO coating.

Single-crystal ultrahigh-nickel LiNiCoMnO (NCM) materials are recognized for significant potential in the development of high-performance lithium-ion batteries, primarily owing to their higher energy density and superior cycling performance compared to polycrystalline counterparts. However, these materials require high calcination temperatures, suffer from significant lithium/nickel mixing, and face challenges in composition control. Although high-activity oxide precursors prepared via spray pyrolysis can reduce calcination temperatures, the smaller particle size of the resulting NCM materials intensifies interfacial side reactions.
