Background: Severe limbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD) resulting from chronic and delayed-onset mustard gas keratopathy (MGK) presents substantial management challenges. This article introduces an "en bloc" surgical procedure combining a 270-degree keratolimbal allograft (KLAL) with central lamellar keratoplasty (CLK) as a novel approach to treat this condition.
Methods: A retrospective case series was conducted at Labbafinejad Medical Center in Tehran, Iran, from 2002 to 2019, including 13 eyes from 13 male patients diagnosed with chronic and delayed-onset MGK.

Background: Dislocated IOL exchange conventionally involves manipulation within the anterior chamber which risks secondary injury to anterior chamber structures. We describe and evaluate a 4-haptic IOL rescue technique that avoids entering the anterior chamber and thus minimizes post operative inflammation, astigmatism and recovery time relative to conventional IOL explantation and replacement techniques.
Methods: Retrospective, non-randomized, interventional study of all patients undergoing 4-haptic IOL rescue performed by two independent vitreoretinal surgeons at a single UK centre over two years.

Background: Plaque brachytherapy is commonly used in the management of choroidal melanomas. The surgical steps usually involve creating a conjunctival peritomy, fixing the recti muscles, with or without disinserting them based on the location of the lesion, and placing the plaque. The inferior oblique muscle is attached close to the macula, and in cases of perimacular or peripapillary lesions, the muscle needs to be sacrificed.

Methods: A 70-year-old Caucasian male with a subluxated cataract in the left eye was referred to our clinic at the Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Bologna- Ophthalmology Unit. The ophthalmic examination revealed a best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) of 20/200 in the left eye with monocular diplopia and a severely subluxated NO6/NC6 cataract and the fundus examination did not reveal any vitreoretinal abnormalities.

Purpose: This case report highlights scleral perforation as a complication of diode laser transscleral cyclophotocoagulation in the treatment of refractory primary open-angle glaucoma, as well as the management of this complication.
Observations: A 78-year-old woman with primary open-angle glaucoma refractory to medication had transscleral cyclophotocoagulation performed in her left eye. During the procedure, it was noted that conjunctival burns and scleral perforation had occurred, at which point the procedure was aborted.
