The 50-fold human dosage of a physiomedical drug combination (VG I) (Sinupret) and their components (VG II-VG VI) in equivalent quantity, administered 10 times within 80 h, does not lead to unexpected and undesired effects on the parameters: rate of breathing, pulse rate, red blood count. Quick-%-value and the electrolytes calcium, potassium and sodium. Differences found in single drug groups are considered to be within the range. Concerning secretolytic effects, the drug combination and its components show significant activities performing a production rate of respective levels of 38.7% and 104% above the control groups.

Human papillomavirus (HPV)‑positive and -negative head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) are often associated with activation of the phosphatidylinositol 3‑kinase (PI3K)/Akt/mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway due to mutations or amplifications in , loss of or activation of receptor tyrosine kinases. In HPV‑negative tumors, (encoding p16 protein) inactivation or (encoding Cyclin D1 protein) amplification frequently results in sustained cyclin‑dependent kinase (CDK) 4/6 activation. The present study aimed to investigate the efficacy of the CDK4/6 inhibitors (CDKi) palbociclib and ribociclib, and the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway inhibitors (PI3Ki) gedatolisib, buparlisib and alpelisib, in suppressing cell viability of HPV‑positive and ‑negative HNSCC cell lines.

Background: Curcumin is a polyphenolic compound derived from the food spice turmeric that has received interest from the medical and scientific world for its role in the management of several conditions. Clinical studies, in humans, have shown that ingested Curcumin is safe even at high doses (12 g/day), but it has poor bioavailability primarily due to poor absorption and rapid metabolism and elimination. Several strategies have been implemented to improve the bioavailability of Curcumin, for example, the combination of piperine in a complex with Curcumin, or the usage of formulations with phospholipid or liposomal complexes.

Background: Gastric cancer has become one of the major diseases threatening human health. This study aimed to investigate the mechanism of an anticancer bioactive peptide (ACBP) combined with oxaliplatin (OXA) on MKN-45, SGC7901, and NCI-N87 differentiated human gastric cancer cells and GES-1 immortalized human gastric mucosal epithelial cells. The therapeutic effect and action mechanism of short-term intermittent ACBP combined with OXA on nude mice with human gastric cancer were also investigated.

Breast cancer remains the second most prevalent cancer among women in the United States. Despite advancements in surgical, radiological, and chemotherapeutic techniques, multidrug resistance continues to pose significant challenges in effective treatment. Combination chemotherapy has emerged as a promising approach to address these limitations, allowing multiple drugs to target malignancies via distinct mechanisms of action.

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is among the most prevalent forms of esophageal cancer globally, with a particularly high incidence in developing countries. Notably, Asia accounts for approximately 80% of global esophageal cancer cases, with China alone contributing to 54% of this burden. The primary treatment modality for ESCC remains esophagectomy, primarily employed for locally advanced disease, often in combination with chemotherapy and radiotherapy for advanced-stage cases.
