The WRKY70 transcription factor (TF) was reported to play an important role in the salt stress response mechanism of in our previous research, and we also produced several overexpression (OEXs) and RNAi suppression (REXs) × lines. In order to further compare the photosynthetic and physiological characteristics of NT (non-transgenic line) and transgenic lines under salt stress, the dynamic phenotypic change, Na and K content in leaf and root tissues, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD) activity, malondialdehyde (MDA) content, chlorophyll content (Chl), photosynthesis parameters (net photosynthetic rate, P; stomatal conductance, Gs; intercellular CO concentration, C; transpiration rate, T), chlorophyll fluorescence parameters (electron transport rate, ETR; maximum photochemical efficiency of photosystem II (PSII), F/F; actual efficiency of PSII, Φ; photochemical quenching coefficient, q; non-photochemical quenching, NPQ; the photosynthetic light-response curves of Φ and ETR) and RNA-seq of NT, OEX and REX lines were detected and analyzed. The phenotypic observation, MDA content and Chl detection results indicate that the stress damage of REXs was less severe than that of NT and OEX lines under salt stress.

Background: The degree of yellowing in tobacco leaves is an important indicator for determining the maturity and harvesting time of tobacco leaves. Decreasing chlorophyll levels helps speed up the ripening process of tobacco leaves for easier mechanical harvesting. Identifying and utilizing genes that regulate yellowing in tobacco leaves are crucial for developing tobacco varieties suitable for mechanized harvesting and understanding the molecular processes that control leaf color changes.

Activities of energy and carbohydrate metabolism enzymes (cytochrome c oxidase (COX), pyruvate kinase (PK), glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD), glycerol 1-phosphate dehydrogenase (G1PDH), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), and aldolase) were studied in rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss Walb. fish grown in aquaculture in North Ossetia-Alania after introducing a regime with 24-h lighting and night feeding. COX and PK activities in the liver of fish from the experimental group were found to be significantly higher than in control fish, indicating an increase in aerobic ATP synthesis.

Background: Primary hyperoxaluria type 3 (PH3) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by bi-allelic genetic variants in the 4 hydroxy-2 oxoglutarate aldolase (HOGA-1) gene. We report the natural history of PH3 in a 16-patient cohort, 15 from a unique genetically isolated population.
Methods: This retrospective single-center study followed PH3 patients between 2003 and 2023 with demographic, clinical, radiographic, genetic, and biochemical parameters.
