A 14-year-old boy developed hydronephrosis and worsening renal function due to fibroepithelial polyps of the bladder and left ureter at the age of 12 years. The endoscopic treatment of ureteral polyps was attempted by his previous doctor; however urethral stricture and ureteral stricture developed and was untreatable. Objective: To explore the feasibility and efficacy of the modified technique of totally intracorporeal ileal conduit (IC) construction vaginal approach following robot-assisted radical cystectomy (RARC) in females.
Methods: By comparing the perioperative outcomes of the modified technique with extracorporeal urinary diversion (ECUD), 31 females treated for bladder cancer with RARC and IC from May 2020 to December 2023 were retrospectively analyzed and divided into two groups: the ECUD group (10 patients) and the modified intracorporeal urinary diversion (MICUD group) (21 patients). The modified technique involved performing transvaginal natural orifice specimen extraction surgery (TV-NOSES) after RARC; followed by the transvaginal placement of an Endo-GIA stapler to manipulate the bowel for intracorporeal IC construction.

Bladder invasion by appendiceal cancer resulting in a vesico-appendiceal fistula is an uncommon occurrence. Both radical tumor removal and functional preservation of the bladder are desirable in the surgical treatment of this disease, and there are few reports on detailed surgical methods. Here, we describe a case of primary appendiceal mucinous carcinoma with bladder invasion treated with robotic laparoscopy and endoscopy cooperative surgery (RECS).

This report describes the development of oesophagitis and oesophageal stricture in a dog secondary to anaphylaxis. A 9-month-old male entire Brussels Griffon presented in anaphylactic shock after exposure to Hymenoptera species (Sp). The dog had a history of an anaphylactic reaction after exposure to Hymenoptera, successfully managed with antihistamines and dexamethasone.
