Background: Tissue metabolomics analysis, alongside genomics and proteomics, offers crucial insights into the regulatory mechanisms of tumorigenesis. To enhance metabolite detection sensitivity, chemical isotope labeling (CIL) techniques, such as dansylation, have been developed to improve metabolite separation and ionization in mass spectrometry (MS). However, the dissolution of hydrophobic derivatized metabolites in solvents with high acetonitrile content limits the use of liquid chromatography (LC) systems with small-volume reversed-phase (RP) columns.

Objective: To investigate the protective effect and mechanism of tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 6 (TRAF6) inhibitor C25-140 on acute kidney injury (AKI) induced by acute diquat (DQ) poisoning in mice.

Methods: A total of 80 SPF grade healthy male C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into the normal control group, DQ model group, C25-140 intervention group, and C25-140 control group, with 20 mice in each group. The DQ poisoning mouse model was established by using one-time intraperitoneal injection of 1 mL of 40 mg/kg DQ solution.

Dissolution of struvite stones with ascorbic acid.

This case report describes an elderly man with a history of recurrent urinary tract infections and obstructive pyelonephritis with struvite stones caused by Proteus mirabilis. Despite appropriate antibiotic treatment, the stones increased in size, necessitating alternative therapy. This case highlights the use of ascorbic acid to lower the urine pH, which contributes to the dissolution of struvite stones.

Although multifunctional drug delivery systems have shown significant potential in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy (DN), developing an efficient synergistic drug delivery strategy remains a major challenge. The purpose of this paper is to develop a nanoparticle-loaded microneedle (MN) patch transdermal drug delivery system aimed at achieving blood glucose control and reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging for the synergistic treatment of DN. MNs are composed of hyaluronic acid and phycocyanin (PC), both exhibiting excellent biocompatibility and degradation properties.
