Objective: To assess the effectiveness of an mHealth neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) parent support smartphone application to improve psychosocial well-being, specifically reduced stress and anxiety, increased parenting competence, and improved social support among a diverse group of parents with infants born preterm in three Chicago-area NICUs.
Study Design: A time-lapsed, quasi-experimental design in which control participants were enrolled and then intervention participants enrolled. Data collection occurred at three timepoints: NICU admission (AD), discharge (DC), and 30 days post-discharge (DC+30).

Aim: To evaluate the impact of heart rate-guided basic resuscitation compared to Helping Babies Breathe on neonatal outcomes and resuscitation practices in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Methods: We conducted a pre-post clinical trial comparing heart rate-guided basic resuscitation to Helping Babies Breathe in three facilities, enrolling in-born neonates ≥28 weeks gestation. We collected observational data during a convenience sample of resuscitations and extracted clinical data from the medical record for all participants.

Hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, low platelet count (HELLP) syndrome is a severe complication of preeclampsia (PE), with a higher incidence rate in people living at high altitudes, such as Tibet area. Maternal HELLP syndrome is associated with an elevated neonatal mortality rate. The purpose of this study was to investigate the predicting factors for neonatal outcomes with maternal HELLP syndrome.

Delayed sternal closures are associated with prolonged lengths of stay and contribute to infection risks and morbidities. At a single-site academic pediatric center, we created an SSI-prevention bundle targeting the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care periods.
