The optical properties of the DNA complexes with the compounds of bivalent platinum were studied. The compounds differed by the nature of the anionic and neutral ligands and their spatial arrangement about the platinum atom. It was shown that the same as cis-[Pt (NH3)2Cl2] the platinum compounds with the biological activity, i.e. [Pt (en) Cl2], cis-[PtNH3 (Bz) Cl2] and cis-[Pt (NH3)2NO2Cl] induced at low values of r (a ratio of the number of the platinum moles added to the number of the DNA nucleotide moles in the solution) an increase in the amplitude of the positive band in the spectrum of the circular dichroism (CD) of the linear DNA and a marked decrease in the amplitude of the negative band in the spectrum of the CD of the liquid crystalline microphase of DNA formed in the presence of polyethyleneglycol. By the character of the action on the CD spectrum of the linear and condensed DNA [Pt (tetrameen)Cl2] which had no selective antimitotic effect might be referred to the above platinum compounds. Trans-[Pt (NH3)2NO2Cl], [PtNH3PyCl2], cis-[Pt (NH3)2(NO2)2] and [Pt (NH3)3Cl]Cl having no biological activity either induced only a decrease in the amplitude of the positive band in the CD spectrum of the linear DNA or had no effect on the CD spectrum. The effect of these compounds on the CD spectrum of the liquid crystalline microphase of DNA was slightly pronounced or not observed.

The CN stretch frequency of neutral, gas-phase 9-cyanoanthracene is 2207 cm (4.531 μm) based on high-resolution infrared absorption experiments coupled with a new hybrid anharmonic quantum chemical methodology. A broad band (full-width at half-maximum of 47 cm) is observed and assigned to multiple transitions, including the CN stretch fundamental and various combination bands that gather intensity from strong anharmonic coupling with the bright CN stretch.

Chalcones demonstrate significant absorption in the near ultraviolet-visible spectrum, making them valuable for applications such as solar cells, light-emitting diodes, and nonlinear optics. This study investigates four dibenzalacetone derivatives (DBAd), DBA, DBC, DEP, and DMA, examining the impact of electron-donating and electron-withdrawing groups and conjugation elongation on their electronic structure in solvents of varying polarities. Using the Polarizable Continuum Model (PCM) and time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT), we characterized the excited states of these compounds.

In this study, biopolymer composites based on chitosan (CS) with enhanced optical properties were functionalized using Manganese metal complexes and black tea solution dyes. The results indicate that CS with Mn-complexes can produce polymer hybrids with high absorption, high refractive index and controlled optical band gaps, with a significant reduction from 6.24 eV to 1.

Photoassisted lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries offer a promising approach to enhance the catalytic transformation kinetics of polysulfide. However, the development is greatly hindered by inadequate photo absorption and severe photoexcited carriers recombination. Herein, a photonic crystal sulfide heterojunction structure is designed as a bifunctional electrode scaffold for photoassisted Li-S batteries.

Intelligent unmanned clusters have played a crucial role in military reconnaissance, disaster rescue, border patrol, and other domains. Nevertheless, due to factors such as multipath propagation, electromagnetic interference, and frequency band congestion in high dynamic scenarios, unmanned cluster networks experience frequent topology changes and severe spectrum limitations, which hinder the provision of connected, elastic and autonomous network support for data interaction among unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) nodes. To address the conflict between the demand for reliable data transmission and the limited network resources, this paper proposes an AODV routing protocol based on node energy consumption and mobility optimization (AODV-EM) from the perspective of network routing protocols.
