Six patients with operable breast cancer were treated by tumorectomy followed by radiotherapy at Miyagi Seijinbyo Center between 1972 and 1982. All patients are alive but local recurrence at the irradiated breast and lung metastasis occurred in one patient each. Acute skin reaction was evident in two patients and slight fibrosis of the irradiated breast was observed in another patient. However, we encountered no severe complications in any of our patients. Cosmetic results were satisfactory with the exception of one patient who underwent mastectomy after local recurrence of the carcinoma.

This study evaluated the global burden of thyroid cancer (TC) from 1990 to 2021, analyzing its association with sociodemographic factors, sex, age, risk factors, and future projections. Using 2021 Global Burden of Disease data, we analyzed TC incidence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) across populations. Risk factors were assessed, and future trends forecasted using the Bayesian age-period-cohort model.

Background: The reliability of sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) in patients with initially node-positive breast cancer is still controversial. This meta-analysis is conducted to investigate the feasibility and accuracy of SLNB after NACT in patients with initially positive axillary nodes.

Methods: We conducted a literature search using Medline, PubMed, Embase, Central, and SCOPUS up until April 2021 for studies on the performance of SLNB following NACT.

Background: To investigate the performance of contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS) parameters of metastatic axillary lymph nodes (ALNs) before and after two courses of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in breast cancer patients in predicting the efficacy of NAC.

Methods: A total of 41 postoperative breast cancer patients were selected. All patients underwent NAC, and ALN biopsy was positive before chemotherapy.
