Background: Prone lateral spinal surgery for simultaneous lateral and posterior approaches has recently been proposed to facilitate surgical room efficiency. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility and outcomes of minimally invasive prone lateral spinal surgery using a rotatable radiolucent Jackson table.
Methods: From July 2021 to June 2023, a consecutive series of patients who received minimally invasive prone lateral spinal surgery for various etiologies by the same surgical team were reviewed.

Background: The CAMDEX-DS is an instrument to diagnose Alzheimer's disease (AD) in Down syndrome consisting of an informant interview and a cognitive test battery (CAMCOG-DS). Measurement properties of the German CAMDEX-DS were investigated.
Method: Fifty-five adults with Down syndrome (19-58 years) participated in this observational study.

Typical waveforms used for the simulation of pressure and volume-controlled ventilation in medical ventilators have been extensively studied in the literature. The majority of simulation studies reported employ the step pattern or ramp pattern to model the pressure and flow variations in pressure/volume-controlled ventilation. It was observed that the above waveforms tend to add to the discomfort level of patients due to the presence of jerks in derivatives of pressure/flow variations; the pressure/flow variation of air and oxygen mixture should be smooth so that the patient discomfort is kept at a minimal level.

Natural gas (NG) is a promising alternative to diesel for sustainable transport, potentially reducing GHG and air quality emissions significantly. However, the GHG benefits hinge on managing methane slip, the unburned methane in the exhaust of NG engines, which carries a significant global warming potential. The CH slip from NG engines is highly dependent on engine type and operation, and effective greenhouse gas emission mitigation requires that the actual operation of real-world engines is monitored.

The introduction of high-performance TLC (HPTLC) instrumentation that allows precise control of critical parameters has transformed the technique into an efficient and rapid tool for analyzing various metabolites, namely lipids. Although mass spectrometry (MS) has largely replaced lipid analysis techniques over recent decades due to its comprehensive lipidome profiling capabilities, it typically lacks the rapidity and simplicity of TLC. HPTLC remains advantageous due to its ease of use, simpler data interpretation, and compatibility with complementary techniques.
