Introduction: Our ability to diagnose renal cell carcinoma (RCC) has increased in the past 30 years as a result of the extensive application of imaging techniques, such as ultrasonography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging. Multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT) remains the most appropriate imaging modality for the diagnosis and staging of RCC. The aim of this work was to compare the findings of MDCT with surgical pathology to determine the accuracy of delineating tumor size, localization, organ confinement, lymph node metastases, and the extent of tumor thrombus in the renal vein and inferior vena cava.

This is especially true for all of the osteo-articular manifestations of amyloid light chain (AL) amyloidosis, which may mimic rheumatoid arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, a myeloma or a bone tumour. To improve the prognosis, AL amyloidosis must be considered in front of atypical osteo-articular manifestations.

Objective: Our aim was to identify the predictive factors of degeneration of the fibrocystic mastopathy.
Methods: This work is a retrospective survey of 111 observations of isolated fibrocystic mastopathies or associated to a breast cancer among 542 women admitted for tumor of the breast during one period of 13 active years from 1991 to 2003. The diagnosis has been gotten by anatomo-pathologic exam in 95.

Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), accounting for 15-25% of all breast cancers, is frequently diagnosed by mammographic examination. This heterogeneous disease requires a rigorous local treatment based, in about two-third of cases, on conservative surgery and radiotherapy. DCIS are currently classified on the basis of nuclear grade.
