Identical twin black females were born with bilateral ureteropelvic junction obstructions. Dismembered pyeloplasties performed in the neonatal period have apparently been successful. Although a tendency for bilaterality is more frequently reported in early infancy, the authors are unaware of a similar occurrence reported in identical twins.

Introduction: Prior analysis of children with grade 3 and 4 congenital hydronephrosis demonstrated that renal medullary pyramidal thickness (PT) is predictive of subsequent pyeloplasty (area under the curve [AUC] = 0.78). The objective of this study was to further analyze the utility of sonographic measurements including PT, anteroposterior pelvic diameter (APD), and renal length with an expansion of the number of infants with hydronephrotic kidneys including grades 2, 3, and 4 hydronephrosis.

Introduction: In adult patients, most ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) occurs secondarily. Concurrent UPJO with nephrolithiasis is not rare and simultaneous treatment by performing laparoscopic pyeloplasty and endoscopic stone removal has been suggested. In the case of atypical anatomy or previously failed pyeloplasty, a laparoscopic ureterocalicostomy is preferred.

This study reported a case of MELAS syndrome presenting as the initial imaging characteristics of Fahr's syndrome with "near" sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP) and lateralized periodic discharges (LPD). The patient, a young boy, experienced loss of consciousness 2 days prior, which was followed by two limb and facial convulsions. He was later found in cardiac arrest during hospitalization, but regained consciousness gradually after receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation and tracheal intubation.

We report rare case of concomitant left nutcracker syndrome and right ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) on adult female patient diagnosed by CT urogram after she presented with intermittent bilateral flank pain. For this we did Anderson-Hynes pyeloplasty for right ureteropelvic obstruction, it was laparoscopic initially but due to difficulty of stenting it is changed to open. She had smooth post-op course then discharged on 3rd post-op day.
