Purpose: Periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) is a devastating complication that has been extensively investigated in large joint arthroplasty. However, this has been inconsistently reported after metacarpophalangeal (MCP) and proximal interphalangeal (PIP) arthroplasty. This report describes the longest case of a retained metallic intraorbital foreign body with no complications and development of delayed sensory exotropia following traumatic sclopetaria in childhood. A 9-year-old girl suffered a BB gun injury to the left eye, leading to chorioretinitis sclopetaria and loss of vision. The visual acuity was 20/800 with a relative afferent pupillary defect and choroidal rupture with subretinal hemorrhage that evolved to sclopetaria over time.

Giant rhinoliths are uncommon, mineralized concretions that usually develop around an intranasal foreign substance in the nasal canal. These lesions frequently cause respiratory problems, foul-smelling discharge, and nasal blockage. Clinical examination, endoscopy, and radiological imaging are used to make the diagnosis, and surgical removal is the only effective therapy.
