Gesture recognition technology based on millimeter-wave radar can recognize and classify user gestures in non-contact scenarios. To address the complexity of data processing with multi-feature inputs in neural networks and the poor recognition performance with single-feature inputs, this paper proposes a gesture recognition algorithm based on esNet ong Short-Term Memory with an ttention Mechanism (RLA). In the aspect of signal processing in RLA, a range-Doppler map is obtained through the extraction of the range and velocity features in the original mmWave radar signal.

Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) in dogs is a metabolic disorder of the central nervous system that occurs secondarily to liver dysfunctions, whether due to acquired or congenital causes. A portosystemic shunt is the presence of abnormal communications between the hepatic vessels (portal and suprahepatic veins). As a result of this, the blood brought from the digestive tract through the portal vein bypasses the liver, and the unmetabolized components of the portal bloodstream enter directly into systemic circulation, causing clinical symptoms of metabolic encephalopathy (HE).

Background: The study focuses on the use of multi-parametric ultrasound [gray scale, color Doppler and shear wave elastography (SWE)] to differentiate stable renal allografts from acute graft dysfunction and to assess time-dependent changes in parenchymal stiffness, thereby assessing its use as an efficient monitoring tool for ongoing graft dysfunction. To date, biopsy is the gold standard for evaluation of acute graft dysfunction. However, because it is invasive, it carries certain risks and cannot be used for follow-up monitoring.

Effect of abnormal placental cord insertion on hemodynamic change of umbilical cord in a tertiary center: a prospective cohort study.

Postgrad Med J

January 2025

Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Chung Shan Hospital, No. 11, Ln. 112, Sec. 4, Ren'ai Rd., Da'an Dist., Taipei City 10689, Taiwan.

Background: Our study aims to evaluate the umbilical vein (UV) hemodynamic change in the prenatal cohort of pregnancies diagnosed with abnormal placental cord insertion (aPCI).

Methods: From January 2022 to December 2022, the fetal umbilical cord insertion site was sonographically examined in singleton fetuses, and umbilical cord blood flow was calculated. The umbilical artery and UV Doppler flow indexes were assessed in cases of normal and abnormal cord insertion.
