Aims: The Tpeak-Tend interval on electrocardiogram may be a predictor of worse outcomes in Takotsubo syndrome (TTS), but the mechanisms have not been fully determined. This study aimed to investigate the relationships between the corrected Tpeak-Tend (cTp-e) interval and coronary microvascular-dysfunction (CMD) assessed by the angiography-derived index of microvascular resistance (Angio-IMR) and the in-hospital prognosis in patients with TTS.

Methods And Results: We retrospectively evaluated 111 consecutive patients admitted for TTS who underwent coronary angiography at Kindai University Hospital from October 2009 to July 2023.

Background: The major of anticancer therapies induce a wide spectrum of cardiotoxic effects. Early identification of anticancer treatment-associated cardiotoxicity is critical to informing decisions on subsequent interventions. Myocardial extracellular volume (ECV) has been proposed as a useful parameter for quantifying the early cardiotoxicity of cancer-related treatment.

Driving-Related Cognitive Abilities Prediction Based on Transformer's Multimodal Fusion Framework.

Sensors (Basel)

Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing 100124, China.

With the increasing complexity of urban roads and rising traffic flow, traffic safety has become a critical societal concern. Current research primarily addresses drivers' attention, reaction speed, and perceptual abilities, but comprehensive assessments of cognitive abilities in complex traffic environments are lacking. This study, grounded in cognitive science and neuropsychology, identifies and quantitatively evaluates ten cognitive components related to driving decision-making, execution, and psychological states by analyzing video footage of drivers' actions.

Spices and aromatic herbs are important components of everyday nutrition in several countries and cultures, thanks to their capability to enhance the flavor of many dishes and convey significant emotional contributions by themselves. Indeed, spices as well as aromatic herbs are to be considered not only for their important values of antimicrobial agents or flavor enhancers everybody knows, but also, thanks to their olfactory and gustatory spectrum, as drivers to stimulate the consumers' memories and, in a stronger way, emotions. Considering these unique characteristics, spices and aromatic herbs have caught the attention of consumer scientists and experts in sensory analysis for their evaluation using semi-quantitative approaches, with interesting evidence.

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) can be diagnosed using various diagnostic modalities. The electrocardiogram (ECG) is a cost-effective and widely available diagnostic aid that provides functional information of the heart. However, its ability to classify and spatially localise CVD is limited.
