Skin grafting techniques are widely used for large burns, trauma, and various acute and chronic wounds, contributing greatly to the repair of traumatic tissue. However, donor site repair and regeneration are often neglected, resulting in infection and delayed healing. Therefore, it is crucial to reduce the rate of donor site infection and improve the speed and quality of healing.

Current studies pictured the enteric nervous system and macrophages as modulators of neuroimmune processes in the inflamed gut. Expanding this view, we investigated the impact of enteric neuron-macrophage interactions on postoperative trauma and subsequent motility disturbances, i.e.

Promoting angiogenesis, alleviating oxidative stress injury and inflammation response are crucial for bone healing. Herein, the deferoxamine (DFO)-loaded gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) hydrogel coating (GelMA-DFO) was constructed on the 3D-printed poly(Glycolide-Co-Caprolactone)-hydroxyapatite (PGCL-HAP) scaffold. After the hydrogel coating was established, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and water contact angle measurement were employed to evaluate the characteristic and the biological properties were assessed.

Gram-negative bacteria infections in diabetic wounds are complicated to control, leading to amputation and even death in severe cases. There is an urgent need to develop effective therapeutic strategies. In recent years, electrospinning has attracted much attention due to its resemblance to extracellular matrix (ECM), which can regulate local cellular proliferation, migration, differentiation, etc.

Promoting wound nerve regeneration and synchronously initiating angiogenesis are critical factors in the healing process of diabetic wounds. However, existing research on diabetic wounds mainly focuses on angiogenesis, bacterial infection and reactive oxygen species, often failing to coordinate neurogenesis and angiogenesis. To coordinate the symbiosis of nerves and blood vessels in the diabetic wounds, we successfully designed a multifunctional chitosan (CS)-based sponges by regulating the structure of CS specifically for diabetic wound healing.
