This paper deals with the variability of the practical coefficient of the first ionisation equilibrium of carbonic acid as related to the CO2 in the liquid phase (Henderson-Hasselbalch equation) (Formula: see text) and that of the practical coefficient of the first ionisation equilibrium of carbonic acid as related to the CO2 in the gas phase (modified Henderson-Hasselbalch equation) (Formula: see text).

The six phenoxyalkanoic acid herbicides currently used in the European Union have similar molecular structures. Therefore, we assumed the soil components involved in the adsorption mechanisms of these herbicides to be identical. The values of the adsorption distribution coefficient K, obtained via batch experiments involving typical Polish Arenosol, Luvisol, and Chernozem profiles with a native pH of 4.

Background And Objectives: Saliva is a patient-friendly matrix for therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) but is infrequently used in routine care. This is due to the uncertainty of saliva-based TDM results to inform dosing. This study aimed to retrieve data on saliva-plasma concentration and subsequently determine the physicochemical properties that influence the excretion of drugs into saliva to increase the foundational knowledge underpinning saliva-based TDM.
