Action of 100 mg/kg of 5,7-dihydroxytryptamine on Auerbach's plexus in the ileum of the guinea-pig has been studied using Falck and Hillarp's formaldehyde condensation technique. The drug caused partial disappearance of the adrenergic nerve profiles initially but after 10 days of treatment all the lost fibers reappeared.

Sexual dysfunctions (SD) are common and debilitating side effects of antipsychotics. The current study analyzes the occurrence of antipsychotic-related SD using data from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS). FAERS was queried for sexual dysfunction adverse events (encoded by 35 different MedDRA preferred terms) secondary to amisulpride, aripiprazole, chlorprothixene, clozapine, haloperidol, loxapine, olanzapine, pipamperone, quetiapine, risperidone, and ziprasidone from 2000 to 2023.

Introduction: Ultra-high-field magnetic resonance (MR) systems (7 T and 9.4 T) offer the ability to probe human brain metabolism with enhanced precision. Here, we present the preliminary findings from 3D MR spectroscopic imaging (MRSI) of the human brain conducted with the world's first 10.

Objectives: ImPACTS (Improving Acute Care Through Simulation) is a collaborative simulation-based program partnering pediatric specialty centers ("hubs") with general emergency departments (GEDs) to improve pediatric acute care. Objective measurements of ImPACTS, such as evaluating Pediatric Readiness Score (PRS) and simulation-based outcome improvements, have been reported previously. Barriers to and facilitators of program involvement and the downstream effects of the program have not been previously described.

Motivation: Estimating a toxic reference point using tools like the benchmark dose (BMD) is a critical step in setting policy to regulate pollution and ensure safe environments. Toxicity can be measured for different endpoints, including changes in gene expression and histopathology for various tissues, and is typically explored one gene or tissue at a time in a univariate setting that ignores correlation. In this work, we develop a multivariate estimation procedure to estimate the BMD for specified gene sets.
