Radical program radiotherapy was provided to 403 patients with inoperable central epidermoid lung carcinoma that does not extend beyond one half of the thoracic cavity. Long-term therapeutic results depend on numerous factors the interrelationships of which cannot be revealed without present-day methods of data analysis. The use of computers (a method of parameter grouping and semi-automatic classification--"teaching without a teacher") made it possible before treatment to approach the level of group prognosis by symptoms; taking into account the time course of symptoms in the process of radiation therapy and after its termination--to reach the level of individual prognosis for 22% of the patients.

Grainyhead-like protein 3 homolog (GRHL3) has been identified as a top transcription factor associated with keratinization in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC). We designed this study to elucidate the function of GRHL3 in radioresistance in LUSC and the mechanism involved. Transcriptome differences between radioresistant and parental cells were analyzed to identify the hub transcription factor.

Single-Cell Proteomics Uncovers Dual Traits of Dermal Sheath Cells in Wound Repair.

Adv Wound Care (New Rochelle)

January 2025

Translational Medicine Center, Baotou Central Hospital (Baotou Clinical Medical College, Affiliated to Inner Mongolia Medical University), Baotou, China.

Wound healing is a dynamic process involving multiple cell types and signaling pathways. Dermal sheath cells (DSCs), residing surrounding hair follicles, play a critical role in tissue repair, yet their regulatory mechanisms remain unclear. This study used single-cell proteomics with the mouse model to explore DSC function across different healing stages.

Department of Dermatology, Second Xiangya Hospital, Hunan Key Laboratory of Medical Epigenomics, Clinical Medical Research Center of Major Skin Diseases and Skin Health of Hunan Province, Central South University, Changsha, Hunan, People's Republic of China.

Background: Psoriasis is an immune-related inflammatory systemic condition characterized by dysregulated keratinocyte proliferation and chronic inflammation. Tanshinone I (Tan-I) has recently been discovered to have immunomodulatory properties, but its role and mechanisms in treating psoriasis remain unclear.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Tan-I in the treatment of psoriasis and to determine the mechanisms involved.

is mainly used to treat skin inflammations, wounds, and infections. In this study, Andrographis Herba, the aerial part of the plant, was proven to increase the viability of UVB-damaged HaCat cells and reduce reactive oxygen species levels. The chemical composition of Andrographis Herba extract (AHE) was analyzed using UPLC-Q-TOF-MS, and diterpene lactones were identified as its primary constituents.
