Background: Early-phase clinical trials offer a unique opportunity for patients with cancer. These trials often mandate biopsies to collect tumor tissue for research purposes, requiring patients to undergo invasive procedures. Some trials mandate molecular prescreening, but the success of these analyses relies on the quality and quantity of the tested materials.

Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is predominantly caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBC) and can also involve nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM). These pathogens pose significant global health challenges, particularly in developing countries. Differentiating between MTBC and NTM in clinical specimens is often difficult using conventional acid-fast staining methods, leading to an underestimation of NTM prevalence in TB-endemic regions.

According to the Endocrine Society Practice Guidelines, the diagnosis of PA requires a pathological screening test result and non-suppressible aldosterone levels during confirmatory testing. Sequential testing with more than one confirmatory test may result in discordant test results.

Introduction: Altered body composition is associated with adverse survival in multiple cancers. We determined the prevalence, prognostic significance and clinicopathological correlates of sarcopenia and adipopenia in Pleural Mesothelioma (PM) patients receiving chemotherapy.
Methods: We performed a multi-centre retrospective cohort study.
