Background: Portopulmonary hypertension (PoPH) occurs in patients with advanced liver disease and can be a contraindication to liver transplant (LT). Improvement of hemodynamic parameters with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) therapies (including endothelin receptor antagonists [ERAs]) may help some patients to become eligible for LT.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective secondary data analysis to describe the clinical course and management of PoPH in patients on a US registry LT waitlist and outcomes in patients receiving an ERA.

CD4CD8 TCRαβ (double-negative [DN]) T cells represent a rare T cell population that promotes immunological tolerance through various cytotoxic mechanisms. In mice, autologous transfer of DN T cells has shown protective effects against autoimmune diabetes and graft-versus-host disease. Introduction: The Quality by Design (QbD) approach for developing cell therapy products using mesenchymal stromal/stem cells (MSCs) is a promising method for designing manufacturing processes to improve the quality of MSC products. It is crucial to ensure the reproducibility and robustness of the test system for evaluating critical quality attributes (CQAs) in the QbD approach for manufacturing of pharmaceutical products. In this study, we explored the key factors involved in establishing a robust evaluation system for the immunosuppressive effect of MSCs, which can be an example of a CQA in developing and manufacturing therapeutic MSCs for treating graft-versus-host disease, , and we have identified method attributes to increase the robustness of a simple assay to assess the immunosuppressive effects of MSCs.

The aim of this study was to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis comparing patient-related outcome measures between fat grafting and implant-based primary augmentation using the validated BREAST-Q questionnaire.
