Abstrct: BACKGROUD: Epidemiological data suggest that maternal occupational exposure to mixed phthalates comprising di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) increases the risk of congenital heart disease (CHD). In this study, we used mice as an animal model to validate impact of first-trimester DEHP exposure on the risk of CHD in offspring, to elucidate the possible mechanisms and to provide a potential feasible intervention.
Methods And Results: Eight-week-old C57BL/6J pregnant mice were randomly divided into standard and DEHP diet groups.
Objective: This study reports on patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) therapy trends across the Children's Hospital Neonatal Consortium.
Study Design: We performed a 12-year (2011-2022) retrospective study of premature infants (< 33 weeks) with a PDA. We utilized descriptive statistics to compare demographic, inpatient, and discharge characteristics in 3-year epochs.

Unlabelled: Congenital heart disease (CHD) is a major birth defect characterized by structural and functional heart abnormalities. This study provides updated estimates of CHD prevalence, mortality, and disability using the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2021 database. We examined the age-standardized rates of CHD prevalence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) from 1990 to 2021, stratified by gender, age group, and region.
