Purpose: To evaluate the incidence of late surgical complications and long-term kidney outcomes following ureteral reimplantation (UR) for high-grade vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) and primary obstructed megaureter (POM), assessing the necessity of routine long-term follow-up.
Methods: A retrospective review was conducted of 135 children who underwent UR between 2006 and 2013, with at least 10 years of follow-up. Primary outcomes included postoperative ureterovesical junction obstruction (pUVJO) and febrile urinary tract infections (UTIs).

Background: The epidemiological and clinical characteristics of infective endocarditis (IE) in mainland China, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic, remain insufficiently understood. This study aims to examine temporal trends, clinical features, and factors influencing in-hospital mortality of IE in northern China from 2019 to 2023.
Methods: This multicenter, retrospective study included 961 patients diagnosed with IE between 2019 and 2023 across hospitals in Henan, Shandong, and Tianjin.

Aim: Evaluate the area-level incidence of kidney failure due to diabetes among Australians aged ≤ 45 years.
Methods: Using Australian registry and census data (2000-2022), incidence rates and prevalence of kidney failure (defined as commencing kidney replacement therapy) due to diabetes among people aged ≤ 45 years were compared by geographical region.
Results: Incidence (per 100 000/year, 95% confidence interval) of kidney failure due to diabetes among people aged ≤ 45 years in Australia was 0.

Background: Renal function is a crucial factor affecting the prognosis of patients with end-stage heart failure (HF). The differential impacts of heart transplantation and left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation on renal function are unclear. Therefore, we compared the perioperative renal function changes in patients who underwent heart transplantation with that of patients who underwent LVAD implantation.
