Oral ketoconazole was given to 50 patients, 36 with superficial and 14 with deep-seated mycoses. Satisfactory results were obtained in dermatophytoses, pityriasis versicolor, and chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis. Paracoccidioidomycosis also responded well to ketoconazole therapy. The authors' experience in patients with histoplasmosis and aspergillosis does not make it possible to express a firm view on the efficacy of the drug. Ketoconazole is not the recommended drug for treatment of sporotrichosis.

Background: When the nursing department of our hospital checked the ward round records of the head nurse, it was found that some problems could not be found during rounds, and most of the problems found were superficial; Some studies have also found that most nursing managers are only going through the motions during rounds or are unable to identify problems due to a mismatch between their professional competence and the supervised department, or fail to identify superficial or deep-seated problems, making the quality of nursing supervision unsatisfactory.
Purpose: To sort out the ideas and ways for nursing managers to identify problems in on-site supervision of nursing quality and to provide ideas and directions for being able to identify problems, identifying problems quickly, and identifying high-quality problems in the supervision.
Methods: A descriptive qualitative study was used to conduct face-to-face semi-structured interviews with 14 nursing managers from Bethune Hospital in Shanxi, China.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has been used clinically to treat superficial tumors for decades. However, its effectiveness against deep-seated tumors has been limited by the inefficient delivery of the key components -light, photosensitizer, and oxygen- required for the photochemical reactions in PDT. Here, we present a novel platform that enables the photochemical reaction to occur in a self-driven manner, eliminating the need for external delivery of these components and instead orchestrating their endogenous generation within tumors.

Purpose: This retrospective study aimed to investigate the role of an additional high mechanical index (MI) setting scan during the post-vascular phase (PVP) in detecting deep-seated hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) lesions.
Methods: A total of 805 confirmed HCCs, which underwent Sonazoid-based contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) between January 2014 and October 2021, were included. Low MI scan was initially employed for lesion detection during the PVP, followed by high MI scan.

Patient selection for cancer immunotherapy requires precise, quantitative readouts of biomarker expression in intact tumors that can be reliably compared across multiple subjects over time. The current clinical standard biomarker for assessing immunotherapy response is programmed death-ligand-1 (PD-L1) expression, typically quantified using immunohistochemistry. This method, however, only provides snapshots of PD-L1 expression status in microscopic regions of ex vivo specimens.
