The authors have encountered four cases of oil aspiration pneumonia complicated by carcinoma. Each had a clear-cut history of chronic intake of an oily substance, radiographic changes, and histologically documented oil aspiration pneumonia. Lung cancer later appeared in the involved area. A small number of similar cases also have been reported. The implication is that oil aspiration pneumonitis may induce bronchogenic carcinoma, particularly either the alveolar cell or the squamous cell variety. The radiographic diagnosis of the malignant transformation is difficult, and consequently the prognosis is poor.

Introduction: The strategy of adipose component transplantation has been proposed and widely used in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. However, there is no uniform standard for the preparation of component fat, and the volume calculation of liposuction and injection in clinical applications is mostly based on experience. This study aims to analyze the volume of component fat obtained during clinical series.

Background: Exogenous foreign body aspiration is a common high-risk condition in children. In a few cases, foreign body aspiration can lead to airway granulomas that interfere with tracheoscopic foreign body removal and threaten the life of the child.
Methods: This study was a retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 184 pediatric patients who were admitted to Quanzhou Children's Hospital from 2018 to 2021 with exogenous tracheobronchial foreign bodies.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is characterized by progressive loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta, which leads to a reduction in the production of dopamine. Medication with levodopa becomes less effective as the disease progresses. Despite the excellent results observed in clinical practice with the medicinal use of Cannabis in the treatment of PD, the level of scientific evidence is still limited due to the small number of studies published in this field.

Purpose: To validate the presence of residual non-emulsified silicone oil (SO) following conventional surgical removal techniques used in vitreoretinal surgery and provide insights for optimizing surgical parameters and reducing subsequent emulsification-related complications.
Methods: The two surgical steps of repeated fluid-air exchange (FAX), including aspiration and infusion, were simulated in vitro to investigate their effectiveness in removing residual non-emulsified SO under various clinical settings. Aspiration was performed at three different positions with respect to the SO interface (i.

A novel sanitizer tablet containing clove essential oil (CO) microemulsion was developed. A preformulation study using nuclear magnetic resonance and thermal analyses showed component compatibility. The main components of the samples remained intact despite a color change, probably due to a strong acid-base interaction between eugenol and diethanolamine.
