DNA methylation repatterning is an epigenomic component of plant stress response, but the extent that methylome data can elucidate changes in plant growth following stress onset is not known. We applied high-resolution DNA methylation analysis to decode plant responses to short- and long-term high light stress and, integrating with gene expression data, attempted to predict components of plant growth response. We identified 105 differentially methylated genes (DMGs) following 1 h of high light treatment and 193 DMGs following 1 week of intermittent high light treatment.

cGMP plays a central role in cardiovascular regulation in health and disease. It is synthesized by NO or natriuretic peptide activated cyclases and hydrolyzed to 5'GMP by select members of the PDEs (phosphodiesterase) superfamily. The primary downstream effector is cGMP-dependent protein kinase, primarily cGK-1a also known as protein kinase G 1a in the heart and vasculature.

() is a remarkably versatile pathogen that possesses a unique ability to counteract the host's defence mechanisms to control the infection. Several mycobacterial protein kinases and phosphatases were found to play a key role in impeding phagosome maturation in macrophages and accordingly blocking the phagosome-lysosome fusion, therefore allowing the bacteria to survive. During phagocytosis, both and the host's phagocytic cells develop mechanisms to fight each other, resulting in pathogen elimination or survival.

Background: Preeclampsia (PE) is a severe pregnancy complication characterized by complex molecular interactions. Understanding these interactions is crucial for developing effective therapeutic strategies.
Methods: This study applies a pharmacometabolomics approach to explore the roles of miR-155 and PKG1 in PE, focusing on the regulatory influence of the NF-κB signaling pathway.

Background: Glyceryl trinitrate (GTN), also known as nitroglycerin, is predominantly recognized as a vasodilator for ischemic heart disease, and its potential neuroprotective properties in acute ischemic stroke remain under exploration. We sought to discover the therapeutic advantages and mechanisms of post-recanalization GTN administration in acute ischemic stroke.
Methods And Results: A total of 118 male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into groups: sham, transient/permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) with or without GTN treatment, and transient/permanent MCAO treated with both GTN and KT5823, an inhibitor of PKG.
