Rogressive deconstruction of filament actin (F-actin) in hippocampal neurons in the epileptic brain have been associated with epileptogenesis. Previous clinical studies suggest that glucocorticoids treatment plays beneficial roles in refractory epilepsy. Glucocorticoids treatment affects dendritic spine morphology by regulating local glucocorticoid receptors and F-actin cytoskeleton dynamics.

Reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) is considered to be one of most famous reversible deactivation radical polymerization protocols. Benefiting from its living or controlled polymerization process, complex polymeric architectures with controlled molecular weight, low dispersity, as well as various functionality have been constructed, which could be applied in wide fields, including materials, biology, and electrology. Under the continuous research improvement, main achievements have focused on the development of new RAFT techniques, containing fancy initiation methods (e.

Colloidosomes are usually produced from a series of building blocks with different sizes ranging from several nanometers to micrometers or various shapes, such as particles, microrods, and quantum dots. Colloidosomes can possess a variety of characteristics in terms of photics, electrology, mechanical strength, and selective permeability, derived from their building blocks. However, poor mechanical stability and complicated synthesis processes have limited the applications of colloidosomes.

Both the history of biolocomotion (later to become motion analysis/biomechanics) and of electrology (later kinesiological electromyography) are to be traced back to approximatively the same period in the second half of the seventeenth century. The major contributors to these emergent sciences were Swammerdam in 1658 and Borelli in 1680. Some 150 years later, electrophysiological methods were derived and motion-cinephotography was developed from their pioneering work.

Hirsutism is the presence of terminal (coarse) hairs in females in a male-like pattern, affecting between 5% and 15% of women, depending on definition. Hirsutism has a significant negative impact on psychosocial development and is usually a sign of an underlying endocrine abnormality-namely, androgen excess. The most common cause of androgen excess is the polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), with 21-hydroxylase-deficient nonclassic adrenal hyperplasia, the hyperandrogenic insulin-resistant acanthosis nigricans syndrome, androgen-secreting tumors, and androgenic drug intake occurring less frequently.
