Background: IGF2BP3 expression is associated with poor prognosis in cancers of multiple tissue origins. However, the precise mechanism of its co-carcinogenic action in bladder cancer is unknown.
Methods: We aimed to demonstrate the relationship between IGF2BP3 expression and pan-cancer using The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database.

By growing the electrical power networks and electronic devices, electromagnetic fields (EMF) have become an inseparable part of the modern world. Considering the inevitable exposure to a various range of EMFs, especially at extremely low frequencies (ELF-EMF), investigating the biological effects of ELF-EMFs on biological systems became a global issue. The possible adverse consequences of these exposures were studied, along with their potential therapeutic capabilities.

As an alarming group of pollutants, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) gather much public health concern not only because of their carcinogenic or co-carcinogenic risk but also by interfering with hormone systems or by causing oxidative damage, henceforth liable to toxic actions on reproduction. Accordingly, the present study was aimed to explore the association between exposure to PAHs by evaluating their placental levels and infant birth weight among 110 healthy and nonsmoking pregnant women. Placental tissue samples were collected instantly after delivery and were analyzed for the presence of sixteen Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) listed PAHs with the help of Gas chromatography equipped with flame ionization detector (GC-FID).

Tobacco smoke is known as a cofactor in the development of cervical precancer and cancer caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). The main component in cigarette smoke, nicotine, can be concentrated more strongly in cervical mucus than in blood and it has been implicated as a cocarcinogen that promotes a serial of cancers development through multiple prosurvival pathways. Although the mechanisms of nicotine-induced cell proliferation have been well studied in some epithelial cells, the molecular mechanism of its action in cervical epithelial cells is still unclear.
