A 14-year-old girl was found to have a solitary metastatic thymoma in the occipital lobe of the brain eight years following thoracotomy for removal of a malignant thymoma. Histologically, the lesions appear identical. Initial neurological examination was normal. The metastatic lesion was surgically removed followed by radiation therapy. No neurologic deficits related to the metastasis to the brain were evident nine months postoperatively.
