Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) poses a significant health risk due to its silent nature and high mortality upon rupture. The Fib-4 index, initially designed for liver fibrosis assessment, presents potential beyond its scope. Background: The therapeutic properties of Achillea Millefolium (AM) in regulating blood lipids and liver enzymes have been proven in studies. Considering the abnormal lipid levels and elevated liver enzymes in diabetic patients, this study was conducted to investigate the effect of AM on the lipid profile and serum level of liver enzymes in type 2 diabetic (T2D) patients.
Methods: In this 90-day double-blind clinical trial study, 60 eligible diabetic patients were enrolled and divided into intervention and control (each 30 patients) groups.

Phthalates are the emerging environmental toxicants derived from phthalic acid and its constituents, which are moderately present in plastics and many personal care products. Phthalate exposure occurs through various environmental factors, including air, water, and soil, with absorption facilitated via ingestion, inhalation, and dermal contact. Upon exposure, phthalates become bioavailable within the biological systems and undergo biotransformation and detoxification processes in the liver.
