AI Article Synopsis

  • A study evaluated the treatment outcomes of 53 patients suffering from severe ischemic conditions in their lower limbs using a technique called transcatheter intraarterial drug infusions.
  • Treatment duration varied between 7 to 50 days, with drug mixtures customized for each patient's needs.
  • The findings suggested that this method is quite effective in cases where surgical options for vessel interventions are not feasible.

Article Abstract

Under analysis were results of the treatment of 53 patients with severe ischemic states of lower extremities by the method of transcatheteral intraarterial infusions of drugs. Duration of the treatment was from 7 to 50 days. The composition of the mixtures was chosen individually. The method is found to be sufficiently effective when no radical intervention on the vessels is possible.

Trans-catheteral ablation is an important therapeutic method for nonpharmacological management of various types of cardiac arrhythmias. Since its introduction into clinical practice in 1982, it has proved its efficacy in disturbance or change of the type of atrioventricular conduction and conduction along accessory abnormal atrioventricular conduction pathways. Positive results have also been attained in the treatment of some patients with ventricular tachycardia.
