The objectives of this study were as follows: (i) to describe and evaluate the frequencies of different morphologies of llama sperm nuclei, (ii) to determine morphometric values of nuclear parameters, (iii) to describe and estimate the frequencies of different classes of chromatin distribution and (iv) to measure haploid DNA content and analyse its nuclear distribution. The study was performed using ejaculates collected from seven males, and sperm nuclei were stained with the Feulgen reaction. Normal morphology ranged from 78.

Aim: Atypical lymphocytes usually described as lymphocytes with altered shape, increased DNA amount, and larger size. For analysis of cause of genesis and source of atypical lymphocytes during African swine fever virus (ASFV) infection, bone marrow, peripheral blood, and in vitro model were investigated.
Materials And Methods: Atypical lymphocytes under the influence of ASFV were studied for morphologic, cytophotometric, and membrane surface marker characteristics and were used in vivo and in vitro models.
The effect of Hydra peptide morphogen (HPM) on quantitative histochemical and morphometric parameters of the thyroid gland (TG) was studied. The experiments were conducted on 40 outbred albino male mice weighing 20-25 g, which were injected intraperitoneally with HPM at the dose of 100 μg/kg of body weight per day for 5 days. Relative volumes occupied by the epithelium (E), including its follicular (E(f)), interfollicular (E(i)) components, and colloid (C) were determined using stereological method on TG transverse sections.

Our realization of the cytophotometric method was approbeted on five different digital-imaging systems in blood cells of four vertebrate species. In all cases, we observed a direct correlation of the obtained and known from the literature data on the genome size and a high reproducibility, which allows to use these systems in future work.

Objectives: In colorectal cancer, to describe the cytophotometric expression of the CD-34 and Factor VIII; to evaluate the degree of correlation between them; and to compare the CD-34 and Factor VIII expressions in relationship to label index and optical density.
Methods: Seventeen cases of colorectal adenocarcinoma recovered from paraffin-embedded archival tissue and confirmed by hematoxilin-eosin staining, were submitted to streptavidin-biotin-peroxidase immunohistochemical method. In this process was used the tumor markers CD-34 and Factor VIII.
