Article Synopsis
  • Understanding the changes in cell wall components during xylem differentiation is crucial for grasping the structure of wood, especially at the secondary cell wall layer level.
  • In the study of Pinus bungeana, it was found that crystalline cellulose and glucomannan were deposited before xylan and lignin, with lignification starting in the primary cell wall corners as the S layer developed.
  • Immunofluorescence results showed that glucomannan was deposited earlier than xylan, and while pectins were concentrated in the primary walls, they decreased as tracheid walls differentiated, with ray cells lagging behind axial tracheids in their development.

The dried pseudobulbs of , an important traditional Chinese medicine named , have an extraordinary polysaccharide content and excellent prospects for medicinal effects. However, the distribution and molecular mechanism underlying biosynthesis are poorly understood. In this study, chemical and immunologic analyses were performed in representative tissues of , and the results showed that what are conventionally termed polysaccharides (BSPs) are water-soluble polysaccharides deposited only in pseudobulbs.

Objective To investigate the effect of 1, 25-(OH)-VitD3 (VitD3) on renal tubuleinterstitial fibrosis in diabetic kidney disease. Methods NRK-52E renal tubular epithelial cells were divided into control group (5.5 mmol/L glucose medium treatment), high glucose group (25 mmol/L glucose medium treatment) and high glucose with added VitD3 group (25 mmol/L glucose medium combined with 10 mmol/L VitD3).

Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic and prognostic performance of miRNA-29a and miRNA-100 in pediatric acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

Patients And Methods: In all, 73 children with diagnosed pediatric AML (based on standard morphologic, cytochemical, cytogenetic, immunologic, and molecular workup, and the French-American British classification) admitted to Children's Cancer Hospital Egypt (CCHE-57357), and 9 healthy age-matched and sex-matched controls were recruited for a case-control study. Gene expression levels of miRNA-29a and miRNA-100 were assessed using real-time quantitative RT-PCR.
