We aimed to unveil the clinical significance of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25-OH-VD), insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), and beta-2 microglobulin (β2-MG) levels in cognitive dysfunction after ischemic stroke (IS) in the elderly. A total of 160 geriatric IS patients admitted to our hospital were retrospectively collected. The patients' serum 25-OH-VD, IGF-1, and β2-MG levels were detected, and the correlation between the three levels and the patients' National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) scores was tested by the Pearson test.

Background: Disease progression within 24 months (POD24) significantly impacts overall survival (OS) in patients with follicular lymphoma (FL). This study aimed to develop a robust predictive model, FLIPI-C, using a machine learning approach to identify FL patients at high risk of POD24.
Methods: A cohort of 1,938 FL patients (FL1-3a) from seventeen centers nationwide in China was randomly divided into training and internal validation sets (2:1 ratio).

Background: Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) β2-microglobulin (β2M) has been demonstrated as an important factor in β-amyloid (Aβ) neurotoxicity and a potential target for Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, more investigation is required to ascertain the relationship between β2M and glial activities in AD pathogenesis.
Methods: In this study, 211 participants from the Alzheimer's disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) with CSF and Plasma β2M, CSF glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2 (sTREM2), Aβ, phosphorylated-tau (P-tau) and total tau (T-tau) were divided into four groups, stage 0, 1, 2, and suspected non-AD pathology (SNAP) based on the National Institute on Aging- Alzheimer's Association (NIA-AA) criteria.

Objective: To establish an efficient gene editing method of HLA-I gene to prepare HLA-I universal hematopoietic stem cells.
Methods: The easyedit small guide RNA(sgRNA) was designed according to the sequences of β2 microglobulin gene and synthesized by GenScript company. RNP complexes were formed by NLS-Cas9-NLS nuclease and Easyedit sgRNA according to different molar ratios (1∶1~1∶4).
