The study aimed to evaluate interleukin-8 (IL-8) as a biomarker for udder inflammation in dairy cows and to explore its associations with various metabolic parameters indicative of systemic inflammation and metabolic dysregulation. Dairy cows (multiparous) were categorized into five somatic cell count (SCC) classes: Class I (<100,000 cells/mL; n = 45), Class II (100,000-200,000 cells/mL; n = 62), Class III (201,000-400,000 cells/mL; n = 52), Class IV (401,000-1,000,000 cells/mL; n = 73), and Class V (>1,000,000 cells/mL; n = 56). The study quantified IL-8 levels and analyzed their correlations with NEFAs (non-esterified fatty acids), BHBA (beta-hydroxybutyrate), GGTP (gamma-glutamyltransferase), and AspAT (aspartate aminotransferase).

Unlabelled: Steatotic liver disease (SLD) includes a spectrum of liver situations together with alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD) and metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), representing a growing global health. The current gold standard for diagnosing SLD is a liver biopsy, which, despite its accuracy, is invasive, highly- expensive, and carries the risk of headaches. Other imaging techniques and traditional liver feature assessments fall short of accurately diagnosing and staging SLD.

Evaluation of the metabolic profile indices allows early detection and treatment of various metabolic disorders during the transition period in ewes. This study aimed to determine the variations in the blood metabolites around lambing in Ossimi ewes. The blood metabolites were investigated in ewes with single (n = 27) and multiple (n = 9) lambs at 3- and 1-week pre-lambing and 3-week post-lambing.

The present research studied the cytotoxicity, antioxidant, and antidiabetic activities of biogenically synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using () as a green mediator. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis) were employed to determine AgNPs. In the in vivo experiment, the model rats were categorized into different groups receiving 50, 100, 200, and 400 μg/kg of AgNPs and diabetic, positive, and normal groups ( = 10) using a random division.
