[Effect of different nutritional support on pancreatic secretion in acute pancreatitis].

Aim: To develop and justify optimal nutritional support in early phase of acute pancreatitis (AP).
Material And Methods: 140 AP patients were enrolled. They were divided into groups depending on nutritional support: group I (n=70) - early enteral tube feeding (ETF) with balanced mixtures, group II (n=30) - early ETF with oligopeptide mixture, group III (n=40) - total parenteral nutrition (TPN).

The study included 60 patients with chronic Halicobacter gastritis (30 with chronic non-atrophic and 30 with atrophic Halicobacter gastritis (CNAHG and CAHG)). The control group was comprised of 15 practically healthy subjects. The aim of the work was to elucidate the role of Helicobacter infection, disturbances of regeneration, endothelin-1 and melatonin-secreting neuroendocrine cells of gastric antrum in progression of chronic Helicobacter gastritis (CHG).

Unlabelled: The endocrine part of the pancreas consist 2% from the mass of the gland and it is built from little cells with name Langerhan's islands. The increased secretion of cells provokes to appearance of classic clinical syndrome, which is conditioned by large quantity of hormone in circulation of the blood. The endocrine tumors of the pancreas (ETP) are arisen out of cells that have large quantity to APUD-system.

Metabolic disorders induced by impairment of renal parenchyma functions affect the activity of the endocrine cells of the APUD system, which are of importance in the intrinsic regulatory system in the digestive tract. For this reason, the author decided to investigate the behaviour of neuroendocrine cells in experimental uraemia, taking somatostatin-producing cells as an example. The aim of the present study was to examine the number and distribution of somatostatin-containing cells in the pylorus of rats with uraemia.

Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is a skin cancer arising from neurosecretory cells which take part in APUD system. In most cases it is locally growing tumor with significant tendency to local recurrences after surgery. The authors have described four cases MCC localised on the skin of the middle angle of the eye, lower eyelid, auricle and cheek, without nodal metastases.
