Background: Coronary heart disease (CHD) is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide and is a hot topic in cardiovascular disease research. Western medicine treats CHD with stent implantation, anti-angina pectoris, anti-platelet aggregation and other operations or drugs. According to the whole concept and the characteristics of syndrome differentiation, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treats CHD according to different syndromes and points out that qi deficiency and blood stasis are the basic pathogenesis of CHD.

Arginases are often overexpressed in human diseases, and they are an important target for developing anti-aging and antineoplastic drugs. Arginase type 1 (ARG1) is a cytosolic enzyme, and arginase type 2 (ARG2) is a mitochondrial one. In this study, a dataset containing 2115-FDA-approved drug molecules is virtually screened for potential arginase binding using molecular docking against several ARG1 and ARG2 structures.

Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is used to treat a variety of chronic pain conditions refractory to more conservative management including refractory angina pectoris. We identified 31 patients who underwent SCS implantation for the indication of refractory angina at a single institution from 2003 through 2018. Sixteen patients were male, and 15 were female.

Background: Low handgrip strength (HS) and declining gait speed (GS) are increasingly obvious with aging, requiring effective, and safe medication for treatment. Trimetazidine (TMZ) modified release tablets, a common anti-angina drug, has potential benefits for alleviating the condition, but this has not yet been fully studied and therefore is the aim of this study.
Methods: This is a prospective randomized controlled study.
