The connection between metabolic reprogramming and tumor progression has been demonstrated in an increasing number of researches. However, further research is required to identify how metabolic reprogramming affects interpatient heterogeneity and prognosis in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). In this work, single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) based deconvolution was utilized to create a malignant cell hierarchy with metabolic differences and to investigate the relationship between metabolic biomarkers and prognosis.

Objective: Biliary atresia (BA) remains a prevalent indication for pediatric liver transplantation (LT). We investigated the prognostic value of the serum matrix metalloproteinases 7 (MMP-7) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) level combined detection for BA children post-Kasai surgery.

Objectives: Sufficient attention has not been given to machine learning (ML) models using longitudinal data for investigating important predictors of new onset of hypertension. We investigated the predictive ability of several ML models for the development of hypertension.
Methods: A total of 15 965 Japanese participants (men/women: 9,466/6,499, mean age: 45 years) who received annual health examinations were randomly divided into a training group (70%, = 11,175) and a test group (30%, = 4,790).

: The prevalence of metabolic syndrome in children has been increasing, raising concerns about early detection and clinical management. Adipokines, which are secreted by adipose tissue, play a critical role in metabolic regulation and inflammation, while gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT), as a liver enzyme, is linked to oxidative stress and metabolic disorders. The objective was to examine the association of circulating adipokines and GGT with metabolic syndrome risk in school-aged children from Northeast Mexico.
