Background: The long-term sequelae of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and its recovery have becoming significant public health concerns. Therefore, this study aimed to enhance the limited evidence regarding the relationship between sleep quality on long COVID among the older population aged 60 years or old.
Methods: Our study included 4,781 COVID-19 patients enrolled from April to May 2023, based on the Peking University Health Cohort.

Complications of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) can lead to significant morbidity and mortality. In-depth understanding of the mechanisms and management options of these complications as well as timely recognition and action can sometimes be lifesaving. In this review we discuss the mechanisms, prevention methods, diagnosis, and management of three major PCI complications: a) perforation b) acute vessel closure, and c) equipment loss.

COVID-19, caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), primarily manifests as a flu-like illness with lung injury, often necessitating supplemental oxygen. Elderly individuals and those with pre-existing cardiovascular diseases are at increased risk of mortality. The endothelial barrier disruption observed in patients indicates systemic viral invasion and widespread endotheliitis.

Introduction: Acute large vessel occlusions (LVOs) account for up to one-third of acute ischemic strokes (AIS) and are associated with high mortality and severe functional deficits. Animal model research suggests that statins may have a protective effect on vessel wall injury during endovascular thrombectomy (EVT). We conducted a retrospective observational study to assess the impact of statin use on clinical outcomes post-EVT in AIS patients with LVOs.
