Reference is made to the authors' own experience and to evaluated literature in an account of possibilities which so far have been explored for planned control of reproduction processes in industrialised cattle production. Synchronisation of oestrus in heifer has been found to be suitable for reproduction control even under conditions of industrialised production. The method has been in use on several farms. Synchronisation of oestrus in cow is an approach which still is in the process of translation into practice. Obtainable advantages, like those in the context of heifer, will include better job conditions. Systematic puerperal monitoring, too, will yield positive effects in controlling post-partum readiness of cow for reproduction. Results so far achieved include progress towards the introduction of a complex reproduction technology in cattle production. Before such complete system of reproduction control can be used, further studies are required into some fundamental aspects of the problem, including calving control, pregnancy examination, and gravidity hagiene.

The citrus pest Cacopsylla citrisuga (Yang & Li), a vector for Citrus Huanglongbing (HLB), exhibits distinct sensitivity to temperature variations. This study utilized an age-stage, 2-sex life table to evaluate the development and reproduction of C. citrisuga across 5 temperatures (17, 20, 25, 28, and 31 °C).

The study highlights the discourses produced by mothers and professionals from the Rede Cegonha Program of the Brazilian Ministry of Health in the relationship between the body, women and public health policies on labor and birth. For this purpose, 17 semi-structured interviews were conducted and categorized in the Rede Cegonha Program, body and woman, and submitted to Foucauldian discourse analysis, processes of subjectification (resistance and subjection) and biopolitics. The data revealed: i) the relevance of a public program for this purpose; ii) the centrality of the pregnant body and the historical challenge of understanding women as mothers beyond reproduction; iii) the idea of defective bodies and resistance of those who know how to give birth; and iv) the possibilities of self-government of mothers and, consequently, the production of the self based on the experiences reported.

Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) induces a multitude of actions and consequences in bone and cartilage resorption and immune response augmentation. In this research, we aimed to investigate the effects of TNF-α on osteogenesis parameters in newborn mice. Experimental research was conducted on 42 pregnant mice, dividing into seven groups as follows: control (no injection), vehicle 1 (PBS injection on 7-9th pregnancy days (PD)), vehicle 2 (PBS injection during pregnancy), experimental 1 (injection of 10 ng/kg of TNF-α on 7-9th PD), experimental 2 (injection of 100 ng/kg of TNF-α on 7-9th PD), experimental 3 (injection of 10 ng/kg of TNF-α during pregnancy) and experimental 4 (injection of 100 ng/kg of TNF-α during pregnancy).

The research question is as follows: Are estrogen and progesterone receptor genotypes associated with thin endometrium? We performed a prospective cohort study of 129 patients who underwent preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies. These patients were categorized according to endometrial thickness: >7 mm control group (n = 94) and ≤7 mm study group (n = 35). Polymorphisms in the genes ESR1 (rs9340799 and rs3138774), ESR2 (rs1256049 and rs4986938), and PGR (rs1042838) were analyzed.
