This study explores the intricate dynamics of volatility within high-frequency financial markets, focusing on 225 of Chinese listed companies from 2016 to 2023. Utilizing 5-minute high-frequency data, we analyze the realized volatility of individual stocks across six distinct time scales: 5-minute, 10-minute, 30-minute, 1-hour, 2-hour, and 4-hour intervals. Our investigation reveals a consistent power law decay in the auto-correlation function of realized volatility across all time scales.

Background: Virtual reality (VR) training uses computer-generated simulations that enable users to engage with immersive virtual environments, simulating real-world activities or therapeutic exercises. This technology is increasingly recognized as a promising intervention to address the physical and psychological challenges faced by dialysis patients, who frequently experience diminished physical function, social isolation, and emotional distress associated with prolonged treatment regimens. Given the increasing prevalence of dialysis patients and the limitations of conventional rehabilitation approaches, VR presents a novel, interactive method that has the potential to enhance patient well-being and improve quality of life.

Background: Although evening screen time is thought to impair subsequent sleep, current measures are limited to questionnaires which seem unlikely to accurately assess screen time in youth. Given the ubiquitous nature of digital devices, improving measurement of screen time is required before related health effects can be appropriately determined. The aim of this study was to objectively quantify screen time before sleep using video camera footage.
