Nitrosamine impurities, particularly nitrosamine drug substance-related impurities (NDSRIs), pose significant health risks due to their potential mutagenicity and carcinogenicity. Consequently, stringent regulatory guidelines have been established for their detection and quantification in pharmaceutical products. This study presents a simple, robust, and ultrasensitive liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method to quantify the -nitroso-dabigatran etexilate (NDE) impurity in the drugs and capsules of dabigatran etexilate (DEM) using an electrospray ionization technique.

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates are garnering increasing interest for ultrasensitive high-throughput sensing. Notably, SERS-encoded nanostructures stand out due to their potential for nearly unlimited codification with excellent optical properties. In this paper we report a simple, versatile and cost-effective method for preparing SERS-encoded clusters.

The integration of hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs) with flexible electronic technologies offers a promising strategy for monitoring detailed health information, owing to their inherent porosity, excellent biocompatibility, and tunable catalytic capabilities. However, their application in wearable and real-time health monitoring remains largely unexplored, primarily due to the mechanical mismatch between the traditionally fragile HOFs particles and the softness of human skin. Herein, this study demonstrates an epidermal biosensor that maintains reliable sensing capability even under extreme deformation and complex environmental conditions by integrating HOFs films with wavy bioelectrodes.

Early diagnosis of tumors allows effective treatment of primary cancers through localized therapeutic interventions. However, developing diagnostic tools for sensitive, simple, and early tumor (especially less than 2 mm in diameter) detection remains a challenge. Herein, we presented a biomarker-activatable nanoprobe that enabled a near-infrared (NIR) photothermally amplified signal for fluorescence imaging and urinalysis of tumor.

Adenosine plays a crucial role in the cardiovascular and nervous systems of living organisms. Excessive adenosine can lead to arrhythmias or heart failure, making the accurate detection of adenosine highly valuable. Given the widespread use of sensors for detecting small molecules, we propose a sensitive electrochemical aptasensor for adenosine detection in this study.
