Internal tooth resorption is a subtle proceeding typically occurring in teeth with a history of trauma, chronic pulpal inflammation, or caries-related issues. It is frequently observed in anterior teeth that are more vulnerable and susceptible to injury, but can also affect posterior teeth, often due to pulp involvement in caries. This case report illustrates the handling of a resorption in the cervical third of the root.

Alkaptonuria is characterized by the accumulation of homogentisic acid which causes dark coloration of urine upon standing, ochronosis, and arthritis. A 4-year old child was referred to our pediatric nephrologist with hyperoxaluria and a history of unexplained pink-to-brown discolouration of his diapers associated with a brown-staining of clothes and skin since he was six months old. He had no other symptoms and his past medical history only included minor child illnesses.

Penaeus paulensis (pink shrimp) is an important resource for small-scale fisheries in the brackish coastal lagoons of Uruguay. No viral diseases have been detected in shrimp populations in the Uruguayan territory. The presence of viral pathogens, such as White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV) and Infectious Hypodermal Haematopoietic Necrosis Virus (IHHNV) in wild shrimp populations has been previously reported in Brazil and Argentina.
