a major human fungal pathogen, can form biofilms on a variety of inert and biological surfaces. biofilms allow for immune evasion, are highly resistant to antifungal therapies, and represent a significant complication for a wide variety of immunocompromised patients in clinical settings. While transcriptional regulators and global transcriptional profiles of biofilm formation have been well-characterized, much less is known about translational regulation of this important virulence property.

Background And Aims: Members of the CCN matricellular protein family are crucial in various biological processes. This study aimed to characterize vascular cell-specific effects of CCN5 on neointimal formation and its role in preventing in-stent restenosis (ISR) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Methods: Stent-implanted porcine coronary artery RNA-seq and mouse injury-induced femoral artery neointima single-cell RNA sequencing were performed.

Introduction: Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK) is a cytoplasmic signaling protein expressed across a variety of immune cells, terminally differentiated plasma cells, and natural killer cells. Due to the signal potential and targetable nature of BTK, the use of BTK inhibitors (BTKis) has been proposed for the management of several diseases. Currently, the use of BTKis is under investigations for several dermatological conditions such as pemphigus, systemic lupus erythematosus, hidradenitis suppurativa, atopic dermatitis, and chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU).

Background: Acute myocardial infarction (AMI), a subset of acute coronary syndrome, remains the major cause of mortality worldwide. Mitochondrial dysfunction is critically involved in AMI progression, and mitophagy plays a vital role in eliminating damaged mitochondria. This study aimed to explore mitophagy-related biomarkers and their potential molecular basis in AMI.

Inflammation and angiogenesis have been defined as potential mechanisms associated with clinical progression from a cognitively normal state to Alzheimer's disease (AD). In this observational case-control study, we aimed to determine plasma levels of cytokines as indicators of inflammation involved in cognitive decline. We measured 30 plasma proteins in 49 controls (CTL), 36 individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and 52 patients diagnosed with probable AD.
